Peaced Together helps local churches to support women on a personal journey from brokenness to hope, using a variety of craft projects. A Junior version of Peaced Together is available aimed at 7- 11 year olds.
"Peaced Together has provided a stepping-stone for our church to reach into the lives of the vulnerable women within our surrounding communities."

Activity

Volunteers run a 10-week course with 2-hour sessions each week that use craft-based activities to explore topics such as beauty, thankfulness and positive choices.

Time

It takes churches an average of 3 months to gather resources, find volunteers and promote the course. The 10-week course then takes 2 hours each week, plus time to prepare and pack away.

Cost

It costs £650 to train the project leader plus one volunteer and £250 for any additional volunteers. There is then an annual fee of £125. You will also need to provide 2-3 sewing machines and also buy craft eouipment, which can be upto £35 per head (for many of our locations the participants make a contribution towards this as it helps with commitment)

Partnership

Peaced Together will help you to connect with local authorities and other organisations who can refer women to your course.

Support

Peaced Together offer full training and support including a resource booklet containing plans, discussion questions, and equipment lists. You can also connect with other churches running Peaced Together.

Resources

You will need a suitable room to run the sessions, equipped with tables, chairs and the facility to serve refreshments. Peaced Together will provide a full equipment list of craft materials, and you will need 2-3 sewing machines.

People

You need at least 2 volunteers who have great communication skills and a heart for the local community. All the craft skills will be taught during the training sessions.
