BRITE Box is one of our 2025 Cinnamon Incubator Competition finalists. On Thursday 13 November, they’ll be presenting their initiative at St Peter’s Church in Notting Hill for a chance to win £20,000 and a place on the Cinnamon Incubator Programme.
What we do
BRITE Box is an initiative that delivers healthy cooking kits to families experiencing hardship, alongside creative programmes such as the Active Breathing Course and our community choirs.
The initiative is part of Voices of Hope, a community-based charity that supports women and families affected by gender-based violence, financial hardship, and long-term social, physical, or mental health challenges. Our work combines practical support with creativity and community, empowering people to move from surviving to thriving.
How we change lives
BRITE Box supports families facing food poverty with a year-long journey of cooking and eating together. Each week, children take home recipe kits designed to equip families to prepare healthy, budget-friendly meals.
The impact is clear: families grow in confidence, children try new foods, and many parents manage their food budgets more effectively. For families with additional needs, BRITE Box has been transformative — breaking down barriers to healthy eating and strengthening family bonds.
Our vision for the future
Our vision is to grow BRITE Box into a nationally accessible programme. We are developing a flexible, franchise-style model that can adapt to different contexts — from borough-wide public health delivery, to small church-led school partnerships, to council-supported initiatives.
We want families across the UK to build healthy habits and stronger relationships, while enabling churches to become hubs of practical support, connection, and long-term transformation in their communities.
