Meet our 2025 Incubator Finalists – Bridge the Gap

Bridge the Gap is one of our 2025 Cinnamon Incubator Competition finalists. On Thursday 13 November, they’ll be presenting their initiative at St Peter’s Church in Notting Hill for a chance to win £20,000 and a place on the Cinnamon Incubator Programme. 

What we do

Bridge the Gap is a support space for children and their families who struggle to attend school, for a variety of reasons. We run fortnightly sessions in a welcoming environment where families are supported in a variety of ways.

Children can take part in activities, including sensory circuits, creative play, learning tasks, and time in our sensory room. While parents and carers can also connect with local professionals from education, health, social care, and charities who can support them on their journey.

How we change lives

When children struggle to attend school, they and their families often lose vital connections with education and support services. This can lead to reduced learning opportunities, increased isolation, and a greater need for intervention.

Bridge the Gap provides a space where families are heard and valued, and where children can re-engage with peers and learning. We restore hope by equipping parents and carers with the tools they need to secure their child’s education.

Our vision for the future

At the heart of Bridge the Gap is a commitment to ensuring every child is seen, valued, and given hope for their future.

We believe churches have a unique opportunity to create support hubs where families and professionals can work together to help children re-integrate into learning. Our vision is to share this model nationally, so no child is left without access to education.
